Boston, MA — MetroLacrosse, a sports-based youth development program in the Boston area, booked Spark owner Andy Saks as its live auctioneer for its inaugural “MVP Experience” fundraiser.
The MVP Experience took place at the Westin Boston Waterfront hotel, next to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.
MetroLacrosse designed the event to “honor and recognize the commitment of a select group of [MetroLacrosse’s] Most Valuable Players, Partners, and People whose participation, passion, and support make our programs successful.”
As the event’s live auctioneer, Saks’s duties included:
— arranging and naming live auction “experiences”
— assigning starting bids and bidding increments
— writing a word-for-word auctioneer script
— creating a matching auction slide deck
The event also featured a sit-down meal and a silent auction.
Saks has served as live auctioneer for other non-profit events in the Boston area, including Newbury College, the Boston Jewish Film Festival, and Community Rowing, Inc.
